The Heritage Trails tell the story of Aldershot from being a small village back in 1850, and how it became the home of the British army, to its current status today.

The Wellesley Trail walk on Saturday 9 July will start at Princes Garden in Aldershot at 10.30am and will take 1.5 - 2 hours to complete. Looking at the impact on Aldershot of the great Army camp, the tour looks at some of the iconic historic buildings which are now within the new Wellesley housing development. This tour is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs, with a moderate incline at the start of the tour as the route heads up Hospital Hill.
The tour will be led by Paul Vickers, the Chairman of the Friends of Aldershot Military Museum, and will finish back at Princes Gardens.
This is a free ticketed events, organised by Rushmoor Borough Council. Although the tours are free to attend a ticket is required from Eventbrite: Places are limited so don’t miss out… book today!
