Oxford Road is a play based on Reading author Derek Walsh's novel of the same name. The play is set in Reading, Berkshire and follows the journey of its chief protagonist, Alastair Mcleish-Pidkin, as he journeys through issues of depression, substance abuse and existential crises to find stillness. On the way, Alastair begins a romantic relationship with a prostitute, suffers from suicidal thoughts, and meets a mysterious enigmatic character named Dave who makes him question the very nature of reality.
