Alcohol Sales Convenience Boost at Wokingham Station

Changes have been made to ease alcohol sales at a fuel station along a busy road in Wokingham.

Changes have been made to alcohol sales at a Shell Service Station on the busy A329 London Road in Wokingham.

Located near St Crispins School and leisure centre, this petrol station, run by Shell Select, has received permission to sell premixed alcoholic drinks, including cans of Smirnoff, Gordons, and Captain Morgan, outside the counter.

The update also allows for soft drink mixers, such as 150ml cans of coke, lemonade, and flavoured sodas, to be available nearby.

Shell Select submitted a licensing application to adjust its existing premises licence, which previously required spirits to be sold behind the counter. Wokingham Borough Council approved the application after a statutory consultation that concluded last month.

Open 24 hours a day, the service station offers a deli, coffee machine, and Shell's loyalty programme.
