Bracknell's New Care Home Named Berkshire Manor

The name of an upcoming care home that replaces a Catholic church in Bracknell has been selected.

Bracknell is set to see the opening of a new care home, named ‘Berkshire Manor’, which will replace the former St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Church in Ringmead. This 72-bed facility is being developed by Oakland Care, who have also received approval to place a totem V-board outside, featuring the slogan ‘live, love and be loved’ along with contact details.

In other local news, the Stratstone used cars dealership will be undergoing a makeover to accommodate Jardine Motors Group, who sell McLaren cars. The refurbishment includes upgrades to the existing facilities and improved parking. This plan was greenlit by Bracknell Forest Council on September 3, with no objections raised.

Meanwhile, Wokingham town centre will welcome a new beauty salon as the Permanent Beauty salon in Rose Street rebrands to ‘Continuous Beauty’. The transition includes new signage with updated contact information.

Additionally, a developer has proposed building four semi-detached homes on vacant land off Whitley Wood Road in Reading. Each home will feature three bedrooms, a separate kitchen, living room, and parking spaces, with some including garages.
