Alcohol and Music Licence Proposed for Regatta

A bar company has applied to sell alcohol and put on live and recorded music in the garden of Old Blades during the Henley Regatta.

The Regatta runs from Tuesday 30 June to Sunday 5 July and draws more than 300,000 people over six days, with elite British and international university rowing teams taking part.

Old Blades sits on Remenham Lane, Remenham, on the east bank of the River Thames in Berkshire.

Field Vision Bars Ltd wants to trade 9am-11pm on Sunday and 9am-12.30am on the other days of the regatta.

The company has made a licensing application to Wokingham Borough Council and a statutory consultation is live. To respond, email licensing@wokingham.gov.uk quoting reference PR0566.

Representations must include your full name and address; the council suggests adding a telephone number and email. The consultation closes on Monday 6 April.
