Bracknell Celebrates Completion of 788-Home Woodhurst Park Development

A huge development of more than 700 homes and a primary school has finally been completed north of Bracknell.

A massive 788-home development, Woodhurst Park, has officially wrapped up just north of Bracknell.

Built by the Berkeley Group, this project includes 115 affordable homes and is located north of Harvest Ride in Warfield. Construction kicked off in 2015, and after nearly a decade, the final home is set to be handed over this month.

Residents can enjoy nearby green spaces, including Cabbage Hill nature park and Garth Meadows. The development also features a new campus for Warfield Church of England Primary School, which opened in 2016 after the original school at All Saints Rise closed in 2022.

Additionally, a 65-bed extra care facility was established, along with the new Quelm Allotments accessible from Watersplash Lane.

Berkeley Group has collaborated with local councils and the community throughout the project. Elkie Russell, Managing Director of Berkeley Homes, stated, "Woodhurst Park represents everything we believe in – community was central to our vision from the start. We aimed to create a place where children can grow up surrounded by nature and where neighbors feel connected. We’re proud of what’s been achieved here."

Berkeley emphasized that their vision for Woodhurst Park focused on a strong community plan, enhancing homes, amenities, and shared spaces to foster connections among residents.

The site, bordered by Harvest Ride, Binfield Road, Forest Road, and Newell Green, was designated for development under the previous Local Plan.
