Bracknell's Major Flat Development Nears Completion

Changes have been made at the site of nearly 350 flats in Bracknell as the development nears completion.

Work is edging towards completion at the Bracknell Beeches site south of the station, where nearly 350 flats are being built after the office blocks were demolished.

Adjustments to parking and station route (Bracknell app 24/00633/FUL)

Recent tweaks to the scheme for 349 flats include realignments to buildings that differ from earlier plans, but the total of 406 parking spaces remains unchanged. The ramped pedestrian access to the station has also been altered so a tree can be retained. These changes were approved on Tuesday 9 December.

Sandhurst nursery expansion refused (Bracknell app 25/00525/FUL)

Bracknell Forest Council refused a plan to expand Cherrytown Nursery in College Town from 48 to 63 children. The proposal would have replaced a shed with a timber cabin — fitted with an air source heat pump — to accommodate 15 extra children, but councillors cited concerns about increased parking pressure and noise.

Details for 343-home development approved (Wokingham app 252279)

Crucial details for 343 homes south of Wokingham have been approved. Vistry Group will build the homes as part of the South Wokingham Strategic Development Location on Parcel 11 off Waterloo Road, just south of the Eastern Gateway roundabout linked with William Heelas Way — permission was granted for the brick details.

Replacement home in Remenham approved (Wokingham app 252055)

A plan to replace the house Lindisfarne with a new five‑bedroom, two‑storey home on Wargrave Road in Remenham has been approved. The project also includes a pool house and carport; a Wokingham council planning officer judged it compliant with policy and the decision was issued on 12 December.

You can view each decided application by typing the reference in brackets into the relevant council's planning portal.
