Eaton Court Set for 52 Flat Conversion

A project to convert a benefits office near Reading town centre has been given the go-ahead.

A project to convert a benefits office near Reading town centre has been approved, allowing Eaton Court on Oxford Road to be transformed into 52 flats.

Previously serving as a site for health and disability assessments, the building will now feature 40 one-bed and 12 two-bed flats. A larger plan for 72 flats was rejected earlier this year due to noise concerns from nearby businesses.

However, a noise impact assessment convinced planning officers that future residents would not be adversely affected, leading to the project’s approval on September 23.
