Hotel Staff Caravan Plan Sparks Community Debate

A garage could be demolished and replaced with a mobile home for staff at a hotel in Bracknell.

In town centre news, a cake shop chain, Cake Box, has received approval for retrospective plans to open at Amber House on Market Street, next to the newly opened Consol tanning studio. Cake Box, known for its sweet treats, already has locations in Wokingham and East Reading.

Over in Wokingham Borough, developers have been given the green light to adjust plans for eight new four-bedroom homes in Finchampstead, located on Johnson Drive off Nine Mile Ride. Changes include the addition of car barns and alterations to the size of ground and first floors for several homes.

Meanwhile, a plan to build a three-bedroom bungalow in Twyford has been rejected by Wokingham council. The proposal was deemed poorly designed and incongruous, failing to fit into the street scene and providing insufficient daylight for the bedrooms.
