An Asian fusion eatery has taken over an Italian restaurant unit in Reading town centre that has been vacant for years.
Reading's dining scene just got a shake-up as the long-vacant unit that once housed Dolce Vita Italian restaurant has been transformed into an Asian fusion hotspot, Take Your Time.
After closing in June 2018 and sitting empty for seven years, the new eatery opened its doors this summer, offering a menu that ranges from soup noodles and burgers to fried rice and steak.
Drinks on offer include hot and cold beverages, special teas, plus a selection of wine, beer, and spirits.
Sunny Leung from Take Your Time expressed excitement about the launch: “We’re so happy to finally open! Our team has worked hard to bring something fresh and unique to the local dining scene.”
Photos from the restaurant showcase enticing dishes like prawns, stir fry, and burgers. The menu is available in both English and Chinese.
Take Your Time received council approval in August to serve alcohol from 11am to 11pm, and it features both indoor and outdoor seating on a balcony with views of the Oracle and the River Kennet.
