Morrisons on Basingstoke Road, Reading, is getting a new EV charging and jet-wash hub in its car park.
Motor Fuel Group has installed eight EV bays served by four 4,000 kilowatt chargers and five jet washes - three enclosed, two open. A photo from the site shows the work effectively completed, but cones were barring entry on Tuesday, May 26.
The change removes 44 regular parking spaces at one of the town's busiest supermarkets.
Reading Borough Council granted planning permission for the charging area in July last year, and later approved a seven-metre totem sign at the car park entrance.
A Motor Fuel Group spokesperson said the facility is expected to go live in August or September this year.
