A project of 10 new homes in a village between Bracknell and Ascot has been completed.
A new project with 10 homes has been completed in Winkfield Row, located between Bracknell and Ascot.
The development, named Eastcote, saw the demolition of Larkfield, a house sold for £2.43 million in 2023, to make way for new three and four-bedroom family homes.
All homes were sold earlier this year, with Antler Homes announcing that the Eastcote development is now fully occupied. They stated, “Successful completion of our Eastcote development reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality homes in prime locations.”
Eastcote features nine four-bedroom homes and one three-bedroom house, with the show home Tiffin House boasting a spacious kitchen, a conservatory, and a living area with a fireplace, all listed for £1.2 million.
New residents can enjoy nearby amenities, including a traditional pub, farm shop, and schools, with the Don Beni pub, Row Farmshop, and St Marys Primary School all within walking distance. The area also offers access to world-class shopping, eateries, and the famous Ascot racecourse.
Martins Heron Station, the nearest railway station, has services to Clapham Junction in about 50 minutes, while London Waterloo can be reached in an hour.
Despite facing initial planning refusals from Bracknell Forest Council in April 2021 due to concerns about the impact of backland development on infrastructure, the project was ultimately approved after Antler Homes successfully appealed the decision. The inspector, Stephen Wilkinson, acknowledged that, while it was a backland development, it would not adversely impact the area’s character.
The appeal was granted in June 2022, and further information can be found by referencing 20/00607/FUL in the council’s planning portal.
