A new Mediterranean restaurant is gearing up to open at a shopping area for neighbours in Bracknell.
A new Mediterranean eatery, Feta & Fig, is set to open in Bracknell's Rectory Road shopping precinct.
Located near a Co-op and a pharmacy, Feta & Fig will take over a unit currently housing a pizza takeaway, right next to Magdalenka Polish Delicatessen.
Owner Raham Fard, with over 20 years of experience in the food industry—including running Pizza GoGo—has applied for a licence to serve food and non-alcoholic drinks until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, and until midnight on other days, starting as early as 6am.
However, a local resident has raised concerns about noise and disruption, stating that the existing pizza place already causes disturbances late at night. They expressed worries about families’ peace being compromised, especially for those with young children and special needs.
Mr Fard responded, clarifying that the late hours aim to provide flexibility and that the restaurant wouldn't typically stay open until 2am.
The licensing decision will be made by councillors on a panel meeting on Monday, September 15.
