Concerns have been raised about a new Busy Bees nursery in Binfield months before it is due to open.
Busy Bees has taken over a property on Terrace Road North and plans to open a 75-place nursery in Summer 2026.
One nearby resident has written to Binfield Parish Council complaining about ongoing construction, noise on Sunday mornings, loud music, alleged poor conduct onsite, litter and building debris. They also warned of "signficant potential traffic, noise and environmental impacts" that could affect their next-door property, which is a listed building.
They said: "We respectfully request that the Planning, Enforcement, Environmental Health and Highways teams review the matters raised and confirm how these issues will be monitored going forward."
At a parish council meeting on Tuesday night councillors discussed the complaint. The matter has been referred to Bracknell Environmental Health as a statutory nuisance and the resident was advised to progress it with Bracknell Forest Council. The parish council decided to take no further action for now.
Busy Bees’ website states: "A brand-new nursery, Busy Bees at Binfield, is scheduled to welcome children in Summer 2026. The new 75-place nursery will provide exceptional childcare for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, offering a safe and engaging environment designed to support every stage of early development. A dedicated team of experienced and friendly childcare professionals will be on hand to ensure that every child receives the very best start in life at Busy Bees at Binfield."
Busy Bees has been approached for comment.
