Woodley Residents Set for Cash Access After Bank Closure

People in Woodley will still be able to withdraw cash after the Lloyds bank in Crockhamwell Road closes on Wednesday, June 17.

The closure prompted worries customers would lose access to banking services, including cash withdrawals. LINK has carried out an assessment of the town's cash access.

“LINK assessed the cash needs of Woodley in February 2026 following the announcement of the Lloyds branch closure.”

“Our review confirmed that the Nationwide branch, three Post Offices and five free-to-use ATMs within one mile of the town centre continue to provide suitable cash access for residents and businesses. The full assessment is available on our website.”

Residents can use ATMs at the Nationwide in Crockhamwell Road, the post offices in Crockhamwell Road, Brecon Road and Wheelers Green, and other machines at local fuel stations and convenience stores.
