Bracknell's town centre Post Office, inside TG Jones in Princess Square, will close in the coming months, shortly before the TG Jones store shuts in January 2027 as part of the retailer's restructuring. No replacement site has been secured yet.
Post Office said it was "early stages" of reviewing applications to run a replacement branch and was "working hard" to find a nearby location. The organisation said: "The provision of a Post Office service to our customers in the area is important to us."
Customers are being directed to branches in Priestwood and Great Hollands, about one and 1.8 miles from the town centre. Neither currently offers the Passport Check & Send service available at Princess Square.
The existing branch also provides banking, postal services and vehicle tax.
Bracknell Forest Council has been contacted for comment. Bracknell MP Peter Swallow has raised concern in Parliament and asked the government what it was doing to protect these services.
