A project to build more than 160 flats on the former bus station site in Bracknell town centre is steaming ahead. The Bracknell Forest Cambium Partnership plans three blocks totalling 169 flats.
Crucial details for Brickmark Place have been submitted to the council (Bracknell app PA/2026/0806). They relate to noise management to protect people living above new ground-floor shops. The rules say those units cannot be occupied until a protection scheme is approved. Details of plant equipment, including air or chiller conditioning units, were submitted on August 24.
A phasing plan for 27 homes north of Bracknell has also been lodged (Bracknell app PA/2026/0807). The site, east of Old Priory Lane and west of Maize Lane, would include semi-detached and terraced homes. Phase 1 would create tree planting and a pond, with the homes built in phase 2. Access will be from Melody Lane in the Willow Green development by Taylor Wimpey.
In Wokingham, work to convert the Eastheath House warehouse into a padel hub with three courts is progressing (Wokingham app 261709). Permission was granted on a temporary three-year basis in May, with conditions including a parking management strategy to protect Eastheath Road. The approved strategy says padel bookings will last 55 minutes.
And Wokingham Borough Council is pushing ahead with plans to turn a house it owns in London Road into supported living accommodation (Wokingham app 261714). The scheme includes demolishing the garage and side extension and adding a two-storey front and side extension. Landscaping was approved on August 24.
