A major housing scheme near Crowthorne has moved a step closer, while plans for a new children's nursery and changes at a golf club are among the latest planning developments across Bracknell Forest and Wokingham.

Bracknell asked for views on 136-home Pinewood development (Wokingham application 260720)

Wokingham Borough Council is considering plans to demolish the former Pinewood Campus off Nine Mile Ride and replace it with 136 homes. The proposal includes parking, landscaping, public open space, drainage infrastructure, highway improvements and a Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) to mitigate impact on protected heathland. Because of the site's proximity to the borough boundary, Bracknell Forest Council has been asked for its views.

Plans lodged for new Binfield nursery (Bracknell application BC/2026/00636)

Part of Arto House on London Road would change from residential use to a children's nursery, with a single-storey outbuilding, hardstanding and minor site alterations. A decision has not yet been made.

Woodland recreation area proposed at Binfield home (Bracknell application PA/2026/0766)

The application for Barnside House on Terrace Road North seeks permission to change part of woodland to a recreational space, install a timber shed and carry out associated excavation and timber works. Part of the development has already been carried out retrospectively.

Sonning Golf Club plans approved (Wokingham application 260779)

Wokingham Borough Council approved revised access arrangements from Duffield Road, changes to parking and the conversion of part of the clubhouse into a golf simulator practice facility. The application forms part of a larger scheme with outline consent.

Changes approved to four-home development (Wokingham application 260387)

Alterations to an approved development of four detached homes on Finchampstead Road have been approved, covering amendments to windows, garage roof designs, dormers and other external features. The wider scheme already had planning permission.

Retrospective storage buildings refused (Wokingham application 261530)

A retrospective application for two storage buildings used to store domestic grounds maintenance equipment at Springwood House in The Ridges, plus associated hard surfacing and fencing, was refused by Wokingham Borough Council on September 16.

New Aldi clears latest planning hurdle (Wokingham application 260742)

Wokingham Borough Council approved details relating to the proposed car park at the Gazelle Close Winnersh site, which is under construction. The application covered three conditions attached to the development's planning permission and allows the wider scheme to continue. The store was approved by the Government in October 2025 following a lengthy planning dispute over the flood-prone site.
