KFC has cleared the final hurdle to extend its Bagshot Road drive-thru in Bracknell to 2am after Bracknell Forest Council approved a car park management plan.
The fast-food chain already had licensing permission, but planners demanded tighter controls to protect nearby Glebewood homes.
The plan forces orders to be taken only via the drive-thru lane from 11pm to 2am; customers and delivery drivers cannot park on site after 11pm, and staff must use the southernmost aisle so cars do not gather near houses.
ANPR cameras will enforce shorter stays and signage, cones and retractable bollards will cordon areas. Staff must monitor the car park and ask lingering drivers to leave and keep noise down.
The plan includes a review that can be strengthened within a month if complaints come in. Only any formal discharge of planning conditions remains before the later hours start.
A spokesperson for KFC has been approached for comment.
