New Commercial Units Set for Dell House Site

Plans are moving ahead to replace the huge vacant Dell House office in Bracknell with three new commercial buildings.

Permission to demolish the four-storey Dell House was granted in November last year. The building has been vacant since July 2022. BC Bracknell Ltd, which is redeveloping the site, has applied to tweak the car park layout and relocate an electricity sub-station so planting can go where the sub-station would have been. Mixed result for tree works at Lambrook (Bracknell app PA/2026/0407)

Lambrook preparatory school in Winkfield Row applied to carry out works to 15 protected trees, proposing to remove three oaks, a Lawson Cypress, a sycamore and a Scotch pine. The council approved the removal of one oak, the Lawson Cypress, the sycamore and the Scotch pine and allowed some reductions, but refused permission to fell two oaks because of the negative impact on local amenity.

161 homes planned at Arborfield Green (Wokingham app 260782)

Vistry is set to build 161 homes at Finchwood Park on Parcels 11 and 12, south of the Nine Mile Ride Extension. Wokingham Borough Council has approved the construction environmental management plan, clearing the way for work to begin.

234 homes north of Oak Tree School (Wokingham app 261194)

Details have been approved for 234 homes on a field north of Oak Tree School in Winnersh, with access from Maidensfield. The school, which opened in September 2023, caters for special needs pupils aged five to 18. Noise mitigation, cooling and ventilation measures for the homes have been signed off.
