Winkfield House in Maidens Green, between Bracknell and Windsor, could be turned back from flats into a family home.
Maidens Green has businesses including The Winning Post, the Stirrups Hotel and the Oaktree Garden Centre and is surrounded by farms.
Winkfield House used to be a family home with a ground-floor shop. Streetview shows the shop was called 'Changing Tack' and appeared to sell horse-riding kit. The wider area is an equestrian hub.
The shop was shuttered in Streetview imagery from May 2009 to May 2012.
The building was converted into two two-bed homes after the owner won permission for works in July 2017. Now a plan would turn it into a four-bedroom semi-detached home with disabled access and a ground-floor bedroom.
The project is due to be decided at a Bracknell Forest Council planning committee meeting on . The committee must decide because it will result in the reduction of the number of homes in Bracknell Forest.
Planning officer Sarah Horwood has recommended the project for approval, stating that the creation of a four-bed family home would be "more in keeping with the character of the area.
