The Bennet Road junction with the A33 in Whitley, Reading, has been shut since 18 October last year while Thames Water carries out repair work.
It's a key west to east route between the A33 and the B3031 and serves businesses including Jaguar Land Rover, Thrifty, Dulux, Reading Borough Council's depot and the Church of Pentecost UK. Access to those businesses remains from Basingstoke Road.
Work was meant to finish on Saturday 25 April but the junction is still closed. The roadworks site Causeway One Network now says it should reopen on Friday 15 May. This is the third delay after the closure was extended in December and again in March.
Previously, a Thames Water spokesperson said: "This is a complex repair and we have been obliged to extend the project because a utility cable had to be diverted to enable work to continue.
"Health and safety is our number one priority, and due to the conditions of the ground below the surface, specialist engineering has been required to ensure the long-term safety and stability of the road before completing the repair.
"A signed diversion route remains in place, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
