The team behind Reading's Broad Street Christmas market could be given permission to host live music and sell alcohol this year.
Every December the market fills Broad Street with stalls selling German sausages, sweets and treats, plus a bar near Marks & Spencer.
Peaks Catering runs the market and has done so for several years.
The company has applied to host live music from 10am-9pm daily, and to play recorded music and sell alcohol from 10am-10pm across the week.
The licensing application is with Reading Borough Council and is subject to public consultation. Make a representation to licensing@reading.gov.uk by Thursday, October 22.
Photos on Peaks Catering's Facebook show a 'Hog Roast Co' truck at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, food trucks at the Stonehenge Summer Solstice and past Broad Street Christmas markets. Peaks currently holds a licence to sell alcohol from 10am-10pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-10pm on Sundays.
