Alistair Neal (Liberal Democrats, St Nicolas) has been elected Mayor of Earley for 2026-2027. The Deputy Town Mayor is Cllr Andrew Long (Liberal Democrats, Cutbush).
They were chosen at the council's annual general meeting on Wednesday 6 May.

The Mayor chairs town council meetings, acts as the official figurehead for the community and promotes public involvement in council activities.
Earlier this year he criticised Network Rail for not adding wheelchair access and assistance for cyclists to a replacement footbridge at Earley train station. Cllr Neal previously served as a Wokingham Borough councillor for the Hillside ward in Lower Earley from 2022 to 2024.
