Work on an £80,500 pump track at Mill Park, Bracknell, is underway and starting to take shape.
Construction began last month and tarmac is due next. Ian Evans, recreational facilities manager at Bracknell Town Council, says the project is ahead of schedule.
"The guys are doing really well down on the ground," he said.
Locals have been stopping to watch. "We've got a lot of people pulling up on their bikes and kids saying they are excited to get down there," he said. "People are really looking forward to it opening."
The council will add trees, bins and benches and seed grass in October because of the warm temperatures and rainfall. "It can germinate quite quickly with the right conditions and in a couple of weeks that will green up," he said.
The track will cover approximately 495 square metres near the existing skate park. Funded through developer contributions, it will be for bikes, scooters and skateboards and is expected to open in early 2027.
