Help Choose Woodley's New Play Area Design!

Residents are being asked to pick their favourite design for an upgraded play area in Wheble Park, Woodley, as the council launches a consultation.

Wheble Park, off Wheble Drive, is managed by Woodley Town Council. Residents can choose between designs from Educational Play Environments, Proludic and Wicksteed.

Educational Play Environments: fantasia play unit, basket swing and infinity bowl in an enclosed area with a bound rubber mulch floor.

Proludic: a frame with multiple climbing elements and a slide, a balancing trail, a seesaw, a spinning bowl, traditional swings and more.

Wicksteed's plan centres on a 'Castle Quest' frame and slide, plus a sensory panel, a rocking bowl, another climbing frame with a slide, swings and other elements.

The consultation runs from Friday 24 July to Friday 21 August.

The council's website states: "Whether you're a regular visitor to the park, a parent, grandparent, carer or local resident, your feedback is important and will help inform the final decision.

"We encourage interested residents to take a look at the proposed designs and vote for your preferred option online.

"Those residents with accessibility issues, or who cannot or prefer not to access the survey online, are welcome to contact the council for details of how to respond to the survey via an alternative method."
