Jollibee Granted Late-Night Opening Hours in Reading

Jollibee on Broad Street in Reading has been granted permission to stay open later at night.

The branch, open since September 2021, serves a mix of fried chicken, burgers, spaghetti, rice bowls, ice creams and a 'peach mango pie' dessert.

Jollibee is one of the biggest fast-food chains in the Philippines and has been expanding across the UK; the Reading restaurant is one of its newer branches.

It currently trades from 9am to 11pm but the company applied to sell food and drink until 3am. Late-night refreshment usually covers hot food and drink sales between 11pm and 5am.

Reading Borough Council approved the application after a consultation. No representations were submitted, so it was granted without a hearing following the conclusion of the consultation on Wednesday, September 9.

The change lets staff keep serving late-night customers, including deliveries via Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
