Work to improve the Robin Hood roundabout in Newbury starts Monday 27 July. A three-week lane closure will be needed while part of the carriageway is widened to increase vehicle capacity and replace worn surfacing.
The work includes widening the carriageway for traffic towards Shaw and the A4 Thatcham, plus resurfacing, traffic signal upgrades, vegetation clearance and new road markings. Night-time resurfacing runs Monday 17 to Friday 28 August. The council asks motorists to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.
