M&M Food & Wine on Wokingham Road in East Reading has applied to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises from 7am to midnight each day of the week.
The convenience store, in a busy shopping parade surrounded by takeaways and homes, already sells beers, wines, spirits and other household supplies.
It currently opens at 8am and closes at 11pm Monday-Saturday and 10.30pm on Sundays.
The late alcohol sales bid has been submitted to Reading Borough Council's licensing department and a statutory consultation is live.
