New Affordable Flats Planned in Bracknell

Progress is being made on a project to replace a tower block with dozens of affordable flats in Bracknell. Bay House, a defunct six-storey block in Bullbrook, was vacated in 2022 and plans to replace it are moving forward.

Demolition of the existing building containing 41 flats was approved in December 2024 after tenants were moved into temporary accommodation in 2022. The new Bay House will provide 23 one‑bedroom and nine two‑bedroom flats. Abri has had details approved for hard and soft landscaping, building finishes and drainage maintenance.

Use of Tri Lakes determined (Bracknell app PA/2026/0563)

The use of Tri Lakes in Sandhurst as an adventure farm park and fishery has been established. A document by Laister Planning Ltd admits no planning permission was ever granted for the use of the land, but an agent said Tri Lakes has been used this way for more than 10 years. Evidence includes a 2001 advert promoting it as an animal park with pigs, goats, rabbits, sheep, donkeys and other animals. The use was confirmed by the council in a legal certificate issued on July 29.

Details for 343 homes south of Wokingham approved (Wokingham app 253005)

Wokingham Borough Council has approved details for 343 homes on the South Wokingham major development. The approved plans relate to a construction environmental management plan for those homes, which form part of a wider development of 1,434 homes by Keir Ventures and Miller Homes. These details are for ‘Parcel 11’ of Phase 2b, immediately south of the Eastern Gateway roundabout.

Crucial information provided for hundreds of homes (Wokingham app 261365)

Miller Homes has also won permission for how it will manage contamination on parcels R7 and R13 of the major development, east of Easthampstead Road. This information had to be submitted before any construction can start.
