Work continues on a new Aldi at the former Homebase site on Western Road in Bracknell. Construction began in August, with earthworks and car-park changes forming the first phase.
Aldi will occupy the right-hand section of the building, which is being split into two retail units. Plans include a changed frontage, a new service area and a second entrance.
Bracknell Forest Council approved the plans earlier this year after Aldi applied to remove a restriction preventing food sales from the site. DSP Group is carrying out the work in two phases: eight weeks to remove services, demolish and strip out, followed by 26 weeks of main construction. When finished it will be Bracknell's second Aldi, joining the store in Birch Hill.
