Tesco Superstore in Bracknell to Upgrade Equipment

Changes to one of the Tesco superstores in Bracknell have been given the go-ahead.

Plans for changes at a Tesco superstore in Bracknell have been approved.

Bracknell has two Tesco superstores — one in Martins Heron and the other in Whitegrove — and permission has been given for equipment to be fitted at the Whitegrove store. (Bracknell app 25/00440/FUL)

Equipment at Tesco Superstore
The Tesco Bracknell North Superstore in Whitegrove can have new roof equipment installed: two gas coolers and two heating, ventilation and air conditioning condensers to support fridges and air conditioning. A council planning officer accepted a noise impact assessment saying neighbours in Cheshire Park would not suffer disturbance, so the installation was allowed.

Balcony use confirmed in Sandhurst
Owners of a detached house in Sandhurst have received a legal certificate confirming the safe use of a rear flat roof extension as a balcony. The roof has railings but no window guard. The owner said: "The sale of the property has been held up due to the buyer's solicitor questioning the use of the balcony, we have been informed that there should be a window guard, but there has never been one. The trees have grown above the roof line so it doesn't view into the neighbour's garden." The certificate was issued on 23 January. (Bracknell app 25/00743/LDC)

Changes at historic Bush Walk building
At 37 Market Place, Wokingham — the former Old Bull and Bush pub that now forms an entrance to the Bush Walk shopping area — approved works will alter the shop front and repair windows. The project, approved last year, includes adjustments to the joinery details for the exterior windows and doors. (Wokingham app 252905)

Garage converted to hair salon in Arborfield
An Arborfield homeowner has been granted retrospective permission to use her garage as a hair salon after converting it instead of making a games room for her stepson, following a neighbour's approach. The change was judged acceptable because the salon’s use is limited — it operates around school drop-off and collection times and only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
