Work is continuing at Bracknell's former Homebase site on Wokingham Road as plans reveal new signage for a planned Aldi store.
A planning application to Bracknell Forest Council seeks consent for five signs, including a large illuminated Aldi sign above the entrance, opening-hours signage and two illuminated signs at the retail park entrances.
The two freestanding signs would sit beside the car park entrances on Wokingham Road and Western Road, replacing signs used by the former Homebase. Planning drawings show Aldi branding on part of the building while the neighbouring unit is labelled "Unit 2".
The application, submitted on behalf of Aldi by Avison Young, seeks advertisement consent and does not identify a tenant for the second unit.
Homebase occupied the site from the mid-1990s until it closed in 2025. Construction on the Aldi development began in August, with work on the car park, the building frontage and a new service area and entrance. Plans were approved earlier this year after Aldi applied to remove a restriction preventing food sales.
The new store will be the second Aldi in Bracknell, alongside the Birch Hill branch. The signage application, reference PA/2026/0905, is currently under consultation by Bracknell Forest Council.
