Beat the Heat: Public Cooling Spots in Bracknell

MET Office Orange Warning for heat across Bracknell today. Indoor temperatures are topping 30C, with the outdoor high set to reach 34C and stay around 24C overnight.

Bracknell Forest Council has a list of air-conditioned public spaces across the borough (including North Ascot and Binfield) where you can cool off. The list shows opening hours. Open+ is a self-service system that lets registered library members access facilities during extended hours when staff aren't present.

Today (Thursday, June 25) the places open are:

• Ascot Heath Library - 9.30am to 12.30pm (Open+: 8am to 9.30am and 12.30pm to 8pm)
• Binfield Library - 09:30 - 17:00 (Open+: 08:00 - 09:30, 13:00 - 14:00 and 17:00 - 20:00)
• Great Hollands - 10am to 5pm (Open+: 8am to 9.30am and 5pm to 8pm)
• Harmans Water Library - 2pm to 5pm (Open+: 8am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm)
• Whitegrove Library - 9.30am to 5pm (Open+: 8am to 9.30am and 5pm to 8pm)
• Time Square Community Hub (Market Street) - 9am to 5pm
