Concerns Grow Over Bracknell's Water Supplies

Concerns over water supplies during the heatwave and reports of low pressure in Bracknell were raised at Bracknell Forest Council.

Cllr Philip Thompson (Lib Dem) asked whether the council was confident South East Water could maintain supplies, pointing to shortages elsewhere in the South East.

Cabinet member Ryan Frost (Lab) said the company was not reporting specific issues locally. He added the council works closely with South East Water via its emergency planning team, keeps plans up to date and continues to monitor the situation.

South East Water has previously outlined plans to invest £1.2 billion in major infrastructure and £1.1 billion to cut leaks and reduce demand by 2075.
