Lockey Farm in Arborfield Cross, between Reading and Wokingham, is getting a new tenant: Big Fella Brewing.
The farm already has a shop, cafe, butchers and a play area for kids. Big Fella was first announced on Instagram in March and is the brainchild of Greg Mizon and Alex Rowley.
The startup will specialise in New England-style ales and run a taproom, subject to approvals.
Mr Mizon said: "We're really excited about bringing Big Fella Brewing to Lockey Farm.
"Subject to the contracts and agreements being completed, Lockey Farm will become our new home for both brewing and our taproom.
"From the start, Alex and I wanted Big Fella Brewing to feel like more than a brewery with a taproom attached. We were looking for somewhere with character and a genuine sense of place, where people would want to spend time rather than simply visit for a quick pint.
"We also loved the community already established at Lockey Farm, and the opportunity to become part of that community felt like a natural fit.
"Our ethos is centred around great beer, good people and no snobbery or judgement. Being from New England, my own taste in beer has been strongly influenced by the New England craft beer scene, and that will naturally come through in many of our beers, particularly our hazy pales, IPAs and seasonal releases.
"Alongside seven rotating craft beer lines, we plan to have a dedicated traditional beer line, a lager line and a nitro stout line. We'll also offer wine, small-batch gins and rums, and craft soft drinks, so there will be a good selection for everyone to enjoy, whether beer is their first choice or not.
The wider aim is to create a lively local venue as well as a working brewery.
"We hope to host occasional original live music, comedy nights, talks, tastings and community-focused events, while keeping the taproom relaxed and welcoming for everyday visits."
Big Fella has applied to Wokingham Borough Council for a premises licence to sell alcohol and host live and recorded music. They propose opening 10am-10.30pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-7.30pm Sundays.
A statutory consultation is live. Email licensing@wokingham.gov.uk by Tuesday, July 28 to have your say.
