Heartbreak for the Labour leadership in Reading as three lead councillors were unseated by the Greens in the council elections.

The Conservatives had some success. Alex Smith won Emmer Green with 1,143 votes; Green Hannah Connibear was second with 1,103 and former Conservative-turned-Reform UK councillor Clarence Mitchell polled 805.
