TDK Expands Office in Bracknell Area!

TDK, the electronics firm based at Brants Bridge in Bracknell, has won permission to alter its office building - one of several recent local planning decisions.

Office building extension (Bracknell app PA/2026/0211)

TDK will demolish a cycle store and replace it with a warehouse and storage area at its Brants Bridge site, opposite the Royal Berkshire Bracknell Healthspace. The council asked for seven extra car parking spaces but plans show five being provided. Cyclists will have a 13-space store.

New home in village refused (Bracknell app PA/2026/0159)

A proposed self-built four-bed house with a detached double garage on Woodside Road, between Wood End and Woodside on the way to Windsor, was refused on August 10. Planning officer Will Rendall said it would be inappropriate on Green Belt land, could harm protected trees and result in the loss of 'green infrastructure'.

Details approved for 200 homes project (Wokingham app 261418)

Croudace Homes has had materials approved for 200 houses between Charvil and Twyford, after winning outline permission last June. Roofs will use tiles and slate. The scheme will deliver 47 four-bed, 70 three-bed, 67 two-bed and 16 one-bed homes, with 40 per cent classed as affordable.

Plan progressing for new workshop at Ferrari specialist (Wokingham app 261361)

GTO House at Hare Hatch, off Bath Road near Squires Garden Centre, is moving ahead with plans for a two-storey workshop for engineering and restorations. Detailed plans, including a construction method statement, were approved on August 11.

You can view each decided application by typing the reference in brackets into the relevant council's planning portal.
